Bridges to Empowerment.—a nonprofit organization focused on supporting organizations
owned or operated by system impacted Texans via free consultation and financial grants (as
funds are available) to accomplish the mission of reforming or abolishing our current justice
system. Bridges to Empowerment commits monthly 10 (ten) business consultation hours at no
cost. Consultation is limited to campaigns related to criminal justice reform and voter
registration, education, and/or engagements. Bridges to Empowerment’s Build A Bridge
Program: is a relational education, and referral project designed to increase community
engagement and participation among System Impacted citizens.
Ms. Koretta Brown is an indomitable proponent for Transformational Justice. Directly impacted by the inequities in the Texas Judicial System, Ms. Brown has become a pivotal voice for all Texans in her quest to build a better system.
Ride 2 Court Bridges to Empowerment Ride 2 Court program meet people where they are and offer encouragement and support in their efforts to attend all court appearances. We believe through our Ride 2 Court program we can help the Harris County Justice Administration Office mitigate the causes of non appearances by offering peer to peer counseling, court reminders via phone call and text, child care needs and rides to court.
Holistic Healing Circle Provides space for those who identify as she/her/Ella to share, release and be rejuvenated. Circle will include contracted licensed mental health specialists, Counselors specializing in domestic abuse and sexual assault, and survivors violence.
Let’s Talk It Out A space for justice involved youth and adults to talk it out with their victims and find alternatives to incarceration avenues which will decrease mass incarceration.

Providing community members in underutilized/underdeveloped communities home gardens, monthly upkeep, and education.

A Church of Christ virtual Town Hall which we hosted on 8/26 and had 26 participants and led to two new people signing up as TYTP supporters.
Two Community BlockWalks which we did on 8/7 and 8/21 in partnership with other
organizations. In a total of 4 hours of door knocking TYTP provided education on how to
update voter registration information to a total of 42 new renters.
We moved 75 people to a direct action against Greg’s Abbott assault on our voting rights
by having them email or call their representatives and encouraging them to keep the
We started the process of bringing Project Orange to Fort Bend County Jail and plan to
hire canvassers to knock doors in precinct 2075 to sign our petition.
We signed to help Bellfort Church of Christ become a centralized Hub for social justice,
health justice, and voter engagement.
